5th Annual Golf For A Cause A Huge Success
On Saturday, May 10, 2008, we held our 5th Annual Golf for a Cause at the Mays Landing Country Club. Over 120 golfers (if you can call us that) came out to support the foundation. The low round was turned in at 59!!! The foursome asked not to be mentioned for fear of being called cheaters and being barred from future golf tournaments!! Kidding. Not really.
A huge turnout and wonderful spnsorship allowed the Foundation to net almost $11,000.00, bettering last year's mark. Thank you to everyone who came out and made this day fantastic. Thank you to all the volunteers whose tireless efforts made the event so successful. Thank you to Tom Pacitti for his guitar and vocal prowess.
Also, thank you to all our sponsors:

Dean update
I want to thank everyone for all of the love, support and positive vibes! Its been amazing to say the least at the amount of help and support! I've been feeling pretty good as of late, I have not had any chemo for over a month now. I've been surfing and training trying to get in shape for the final battle. My brother Joe is coming out here (San Diego) this week (Apr.7) to prepare and to have his stem cells harvested. I'll be going into the hospital on April 23rd for the stem cell transplant. Check back I will be updating the blog with more detailed descriptions of the procedures and events as they unfold. |

Brandon's Wave Fund Donates to DRCF
Brandon's Wave Fund recently held its Memorial Surf Contest in memory of Brandon Yates, a 23 year old Santa Barbara surfer who passed away in 2004 as a result of metastic melanoma. The proceeds of the event were donated to the Dean Randazzo Cancer Foundation.
I would like to extend our gratitude on behalf of the DRCF to Darryl Miya, Chris Keet, Susan Yates and all of Brandon's friends who honor his passing in such a noble way.
